Jes Monu, Trustee

Dr. Jes Monu began serving Plainfield Township as a Trustee in May 2025. With a background in public service, collegiate teaching, team building, and sustainability, she brings a practical, solution-focused approach to local government.

Dr. Monu is committed to fostering an active, safe, and connected community for all residents. She emphasizes building bridges and increasing awareness of the township’s current offerings—especially in areas such as community engagement, adapted sports, and functional fitness.

She holds a Ph.D. in Health & Human Performance, an M.A. in Sport Management, and a B.A. in Leisure, Youth and Human Services. Dr. Monu currently teaches Recreation & Sport Management at the University of St. Francis, where she promotes inclusive practices and collaborative leadership.

Her goal as Trustee is to help create an environment where all Plainfield Township residents can thrive. Jes is passionate about transparency, community involvement, and supporting programs that enhance public safety, infrastructure, and overall quality of life. Whether it’s maintaining local roads, assisting residents in need, or guiding responsible growth, she serves with integrity and dedication.
