Happy Fourth of July from the Plainfield Township Highway Department!
As we celebrate this special day, we want to wish everyone a safe, fun, and memorable Independence Day with family, friends, and community.
Per our new annual tradition, our team has proudly joined in the spirit of the holiday, and you may have seen our staff out and about with patriotic touches on our government vehicles. Itβs a time of unity, and weβre grateful to be part of a community that comes together to celebrate.

π We want to take a moment to thank our Highway Department Staff for working hard and safely through the unbearable heat. THANK YOU
πΉ As well as a Big Thank You to the residents who have been so generous and thoughtful by giving the guys waters, etc. πΉ
πOver the past couple of weeks, the Plainfield Township Highway Department has been working to improve drainage infrastructure throughout the community. We have also been maintaining the branch pick up program as well as attending to our regularly scheduled mowing, etc. We had a Plainfield Township building safety meeting to go over Township safety and action plans for hazardous materials (SDS).
πΉ We completed a culvert replacement in the subdivision of Williamsburg.Β This project was addressed due to a culvert rotting and not performing correctly . Also, we did some work in Fund Du Lac subdivision where a ditch was reshaped and rocked. Following, in Crystal Lawns 1-3 we finished all the cross culverts from Meridian to Nuclear, to improve better drainage.
π Looking Ahead:
We are working towards replacing and repairing damaged inlets.
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to keep the Plainfield Township Road District safe and well-maintained!
