Al Tinsley, Supervisor

Al Tinsley and his family have been proud residents of Plainfield since April of 2004, having relocated from Downers Grove via his hometown of Wheaton.

Currently retired, Al previously worked for a Fortune 100 company for 37 years. He started as a union employee in 1981 and worked his way into management. In part to Al’s background in law enforcement, Al became the utilities Corporate Security Manager. In this role, he was responsible for budgets in excess of $35 million, the safety of roughly 12,000 employees and 4000 contractors, 72 buildings, and reporting centers spread across 11,400 square miles of territory. As the Quality Assurance Manager (QA), Al routinely and successfully turned around under-performing departments and taught QA principles to other business units.

Al is part of the coaching staff for high school varsity football here in Plainfield with 19 years of experience. He knows the importance of our kids having great role models to help forge them in the heat of battle while preparing them with real-world fortitude.

Al is a dedicated family man and active in the community. He will use his lifetime of service and specialized education and training to lead Plainfield Township in its responsibility to serve the citizens of the township.
