We want to take a moment and thank Matt for his outstanding contributions and dedication to the Plainfield Township Highway Department-Matt is moving to a new field of work, and we want to wish him continued success in his endeavors. It has been a pleasure working with someone who brought professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic with him every day!
At the same time, we’re pleased to welcome the new team members who will be joining us: Erich will be replacing Matt as the new Plainfield Township Highway Department Street Supervisor, Alex and Nikko will be joining our Street Working Team, and Kenny has moved up into the supporting position to the Street Supervisor, as the Deputy Street Supervisor.
We look forward to the fresh perspectives, energy, and ideas they will bring!

🚧 Storm Damage Update – August 1
Storm damage cleanup has finally been completed and we will resume our normal branch pickup program on Monday 8/4. Between the continuing rain and heat, we want to thank the residents for their patience, continued support, and understanding as we got through it!
🚧 Roadway Overlay Project Update – July 28
Project Destination: Crystal Lawns Addition 1-3 Subdivision from Willardshire up to Meridian, and all of Eastline, Cosmic and Satellite. Also for the Meadows and Eastfield Subdivisions, consisting of N Wilkins Pl, S Wilkens Pl, and S Kearns Dr.
The project has been delayed due to the weather extremities. We are anticipating shoulder work to begin on Tuesday, 7/29, with milling to follow.

🚧 Plainfield Township Highway Department Update – Jun 4- July 1 🚧
📌 We want to take a moment to thank our Highway Department Staff for working hard and safely through the unbearable heat. THANK YOU
🔹 As well as a Big Thank You to the residents who have been so generous and thoughtful by giving the guys waters, etc. 🔹
📌Over the past couple of weeks, the Plainfield Township Highway Department has been working to improve drainage infrastructure throughout the community. We have also been maintaining the branch pick up program as well as attending to our regularly scheduled mowing, etc. We had a Plainfield Township building safety meeting to go over Township safety and action plans for hazardous materials (SDS).
🔹 We completed a culvert replacement in the subdivision of Williamsburg. This project was addressed due to a culvert rotting and not performing correctly . Also, we did some work in Fund Du Lac subdivision where a ditch was reshaped and rocked. Following, in Crystal Lawns 1-3 we finished all the cross culverts from Meridian to Nuclear, to improve better drainage.
📌 Looking Ahead:
We are working towards replacing and repairing damaged inlets.

🚧 Plainfield Township Highway Department Update – May 19 to June 3 🚧
📌 We want to take a moment to announce our newly promoted Street Supervisor, Matt Conklin. He has stepped into this role flawlessly.
We are grateful to have him leading our team.
📌We also want to announce our newly promoted Deputy Street Supervisor, Ralph Schwab. He has been with the Highway Department for 26 years
And we are happy to have him lead our new cross training program.
Over the past two weeks, the Plainfield Township Highway Department has been hard at work improving drainage infrastructure throughout the community.
🔹 May 19- May 30:
We executed a 2- week drainage improvement project.
📌 Looking Ahead:
We’ve also begun the bid opening process for our 2025 Roadway Overlay Project, setting the stage for future roadway improvements.
