Commercial/Industrial Appeals

2026 Assessment will be published on August 12th, 2026September 14, 2026 is the deadline to appeal the 2026 Assessments.

2026 is a non-quad year. Only properties with an assessment change will receive an assessment notice in 2026. This year the most common changes were new construction properties. If you disagree with your assessed value, we will review your assessment.

Per Will County Board of Review policy we are able to discuss assessments in detail with property owners, authorized agents or managers representing the LLC that owns the property as verified per the Illinois Secretary of State website, and/or licensed attorneys that have been authorized by the owner or persons with an interest in the LLC that owns the property.

New for 2026 the Will County Board of Review requires taxpayers to file an appeal in order to change an assessment by +/- 100,000 or more.

For us to review your commercial or industrial assessment, we recommend you send us as much information as possible regarding why you disagree with your assessment. We will review the commercial/industrial rent roll form, and the commercial/industrial vacancy/occupancy affidavit located under commercial forms below. Please also include any additional income and itemized expense information that may be helpful. Vacancy, expenses and income information should be submitted from 2024, 2025, and year-to-date 2026 information to give us a complete picture of the property. If you still disagree with your assessment after discussing it at the Township level, you have the right to file a formal appeal through the Will County Board of Review. Will County Board of Review has a September 14, 2026 appeal deadline.
